We're a Birmingham-based rock band with roots in the "progressive" sounds of the late sixties/early seventies, but taking on board some of the latest sounds and styles (well, those we like anyway - none of the dross, alright?). Influences (in no particular order): Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, The Doors, Jethro Tull, Yes, Genesis, Rush, The Cult, Pink Floyd, AC/DC - but managing to sound totally unlike any of the above! Originally a five-piece, we stabilised as a four-piece (singer, guitar, drums, bass) line-up. After a couple of years with this format, doing gigs at local pubs and clubs, we had a spate of line-up changes. This coincided with a drift towards a more unusual sound (enter: the Bouzouki!), bringing refreshing new sounds and concepts to the tired old genre of pub-rock. The band went on hiatus in 1997, as it became difficult to retain a permanent drummer. There have been occasional reunion gigs since then, but with members now scattered across the British isles, even these became logistical nightmares to organise. Now, 10 years later, we hope to bring the most successful incarnation of the band together again for one or more reunion gigs in the Birmingham area. Founder and guitarist Pete Jones, drummer Simon Atkins, singer Paul Davies and bassist John Pierpoint are all keen to get back together again, despite the hundreds of miles that now separate them. Check out the News & Gigs page for more details as they emerge. |
